Over the last few weeks, there have been numerous things that I’ve wanted to share here on my blog. But, with surgery and its aftermath, on top of a monumental website launch at CG – my time has been squeezed. So, in my attempt to play catch up, I’m going to mix it up below and just start rambling. Dig it?
Lets kick off things with a concert I attended last month at the TD Waterhouse Center here in Orlando. Aerosmith and Kravitz together, how awesome of a lineup is that?

Even though we had upper deck seats, it was still breathtaking to be in the same building as these hall of fame artists. Aerosmith’s stage act continues to give the perception of a young band, which is astonishing since Tyler & Perry are pushing 60! At one point during “Livin’ on the Edge” – Steven ran over to the crowd and locked tongues with a ecstatic female fan. Cool? Of course. Gross? Kinda.
A tired Yogi here. This is his little spot on the couch. If you currently occupy that space, don’t think he’ll stop his persistent attempt to take it over. With time, everyone succumbs.

I’m about to retract his graduation away from the kennel. A couple weeks ago I moved the kennel out to the porch, optimistically thinking he’s over a year old now and the house should be safe as he roams during the day unattended. The first week or so he was completely fine, as we took “dog watch” turns in the afternoon to assure he was being a good boy. The past 2 weeks we took it to another level, leaving him and Rufus alone during the ENTIRE day. This move has probably been premature, as Yogi has been simply relentless. Here’s the damage so far:
- 2 couch pillows. They’ve been dragged THROUGH the doggy door, & completely chewed up around the back yard.
- A book (that a friend lended me btw). The cover was shredded and pages chewed.
- The tv remote control. The top of it is completely gnawed down to nothing. (But it still works!!)
I hate punishing my little boy, but wow is my patience running thin. He’s been smacked with the rolled up magazine more in this last week, than the entire first year I had him!
The website that the CG team has been working on so diligently lately has been for Parrish Medical Center, located in Titusville, a city on the East Coast of FL. Titusville is within the vicinity of the Kennedy Space Center.

This project started at this time last year, and has honestly taken a full year to revamp. This has not only been one of our best productions, but our best clients. They have been so understanding, confident, and open during all phases of the project. This site will grow exponentially throughout 2006, so we’ve established an incredible foundation for them from a creative and technical standpoint. All of us are heading there in two weeks to kick off their Intranet revamp – which is once again an enormous project in every way imaginable.
Here’s a quote we received the other day from the Director of Marketing & Communications:
“Parrish Medical Center set out to create an online experience that reflected our values and vision: “Healing experiences for everyone all the time.” Caxiam Group took our old, complex, static site and completely transformed it. Their knowledge of the very latest web technologies and design standards helped us achieve our goals for the site. The entire team was extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive. On behalf of everyone at PMC, thank you for not only creating a healing web experience for our patients, visitors and care partners, but for making the entire web redesign a healing experience for us.”
Oh, by the way, the fantasy football trophy became MINE this year. Of the 12 participants in a private league, I took the regular season, and moved my way through the playoffs unbeaten.

Man, Joe Jurevicius was a great pickup for team Sharplacher! I also have to give mad props to my boy Alexander, for being so consistent. The Chicago D put up big numbers – I of course saw the potential early on so that was a no-brainer free agent pickup.
To think that I was once a non-believer in fantasy leagues, hmm. I’ve become quite passionate about it this past season. Ok, let me be honest, I think passionate is a bit of an understatement. I’m truly obsessed. It really adds to the excitement on Sunday’s, and I highly enjoy studying X’s and O’s and weekly matchups. I’m looking forward to defending my championship next season!
