LCD Screen, Sister Hazel

I bought a LCD Sony flatscreen from Best Buy and been giving it a run since Friday.

I’ve found some positives with the purchase, but have realized that a CRT is the way to go from a designers standpoint so I’m geting 1 of each. :) More to follow.

Hit up HOB on Saturday night, Sister Hazel was much MUCH more than I had expected – I’ve become a pretty big fan of their style. Weekend continued to be superb all the way up to mid 2nd quarter of the Bears game Sunday afternoon, what an embarassing moment to be a Bears fan. Worst lose in 26 years, and unfortunately it was on kickoff weekend.

Today was just one of those truly inspirational days from many angles. I came across numerous sites and experiences that really influenced me to keep striving for something bigger and better with A2M & the future I have in this industry. I’m in the process of rebranding A2M, so it was helpful while I continued my brainstorm, sketches, and marketing strategy this evening. I can’t reveal anything yet, because I really don’t have any foundational ideas yet. I DO know that I’m looking long term with this, and am wanting to really nail an idea to keep me happy for years to come as I grow and chase some serious clientel.

Mom’s birthday is tomorrow, sending her a nice wok, something she’s been wanting for quite sometime. I’m surprising my Dad with a plane ticket to Orlando next month for his birthday, he hasn’t been here since I graduated from Full Sail in Nov. of ’99.

Still haven’t washed my Jeep, it’s REALLY dirty.

I’ve unofficially retired from mosh pitting

Finally recovering from grueling weekend of ice and Advil.

My first experience at the House of Blues in Orlando was not kind to me on Friday, as my 2nd attempt in the moshpit of a Chevelle concert landed me with a bloody nose, knot on my head, and a whip-lashed neck. I’m not sure exactly how I became the recipient of such a blow, but it happened out of nowhere. Though, the incident gave me chance to catch up on some Netflix, including Adaptation with Nic Cage – it provided some good laughs to ease the pain.

I met with Ming Court on Friday, and I just nailed the design for them. The owner was really wowed, he offered steak dinners immediately after my small presentation to him, his wife, and my man Paul in the Sales department. Nerves were running a bit high beforehand, but I felt really good about things after I left with a full stomach and verbal signoff on the design templates.

NFL kickoff this weekend, hell yea! Bears and San Fran square it off at 3:15. I’ve prepared for the season once again by reading every article I can get my hands on.

I’ve recently sent off some invoices for A2M, next week should be good to the A2M checking account.

Friday night’s concert was insanely amazing. They brought everything to the table; musical talent, acting, comic relief, presentation, & concept. What a vision the original founders had to mix all of these, creativity at it’s best. Tracy Bonham opened the show with her solo Violin rendition of Zepp’s “Black Dog” – what a great way to get it started while I threw down an Amber Bock.

Hit up Best Buy in search of Tracy’s and Blue’s CD’s this afternoon, spent too much time & money there as usual. I continued onto the mall and came away with a Zepp shirt from ‘Hot Topic’ – thanks to Tracy for that purchase motivation!

Continued my design work on Ming-Court.com. An ‘enormous opportunity’ constantly circulates my head as I push the mouse. I want to spend about a week on just the design because of it’s size and intricacy. Well, I’m out, gotta hit the bed and try to make it to church this morning.
